A longterm disaster recovery organization for Montpelier, Vermont

Were you impacted by the July 2024 Flood?

If you were impacted by the July 2024 Flood, please register with FEMA for assistance as soon as possible. 

You can all 1-800-621-3362 to register. Or you can go in person to a Disaster Recovery Center. You do not need an appointment. Three Disaster Recovery Centers have opened in Central Vermont.

 

FEMA will have disaster assistance specialists available to help you:

  • Apply for FEMA assistance

  • Upload documents needed for their application

  • Find the answers for any questions you might have
     

The Disaster Recovery Centers are open Sunday through Saturday 8:00am to 7:00 pm and are located at:​

Barre Auditorium: 20 Auditorium Hill, Barre

Goddard College, 123 Pitkin Road, Plainfield

Waterbury Armory 294 Armory Boulevard, Waterbury.

Our Mission

Creating Lasting Impact

Supporting Montpelier residents to have a sustainable, resilient recovery from disaster by providing resources, technical assistance, financial support, and volunteer labor.

  • Assessing and compiling the unmet needs of individuals and families impacted by the disaster.

  • Collaborating with local, state, and national entities to identify and secure financial and other resources to meet those individual and family unmet needs.

  • Coordinating and managing the matching of resources to the needs.
